Dr. Cooke

Kyle A. Cooke, O.D.
Dr. Cooke is a summa cum laude graduate of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, and the University of Houston College of Optometry. He was awarded “Outstanding Student of the Year” in his third and fourth years of study at Houston.

Dr. Cooke grew up in East Texas, and moved to the Metroplex after completing his doctorate in 1994. From 1997 until 2004, he practiced in a primary care optometric clinic in Fort Worth. Dr. Cooke has extensive experience in diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of ocular diseases, as well as complicated contact lens fits and surgery co-management. He is licensed as both a therapeutic optometrist and an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.

He is the President of the Mansfield Noon Rotary Club (2009 - 2010), and enjoys reading, fishing, scuba diving, and volunteer work.


Dr. Cooke and his wife live in Mansfield.

Dr. Martin

Douglas Martin, O.D.
Dr. Martin received his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University prior to receiving his doctorate at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1987.  After undertaking a residency in Low Vision optometry at the University of Melbourne, Australia, he spent 8 years specializing in Low Vision.  Dr. Martin has been practicing General Optometry the past two years.

Dr. Martin grew up in southwest Kansas and has lived in the Metroplex since 1989.

Dr. Martin lives with his wife and three children in Arlington.

Joan

Joan Brooke, Certified Optician
Joan graduated from the University of the Ozarks in Arkansas in 1970. She has twenty years of experience in the optical field, and is an ABO Certified Optician. She moved from San Francisco to Arkansas at age twelve, and has lived in south Arlington since 1978. She is a proud mother of two boys, and a spoiling grandmother of a boy and girl.

She has been instrumental in setting up our optical operations and managing the practice as a whole. We are happy to have her here, and know she is more than qualified to fit spectacles and recommend the appropriate lens type for any given prescription or lifestyle. She is as friendly as she is capable.

Tony

Tony Wyatt
Tony is a home-grown boy who graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington and the University of Texas at Arlington. He began a two-year stint in the Air Force in 1976, and afterward spent four years in the Reserve. He has 25 years' experience in the optical field, as both an optician and General Manager.

Tony and his wife Billie live in south Arlington with their boxer Katy and their rat terrier Gracie.

Jamel  

Jamel Vaughn
Jamel graduated from Mansfield Summit High School in 2005.  He is currently attending the University of Houston, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  Upon graduation, he plans to attend optometry school.  He takes pleasure in working with patients in everything from picking out frames to instructing new wearers how to care for contact lenses.  In his spare time he enjoys basketball and playing the guitar.

Jamel is here during Christmas and summer breaks; he is always in a good mood due to the fact that final exams are over.

Daisy  

Daisy Murillo
Daisy graduated from Mansfield High School in 2007.  She is the youngest of our staff, and always has a smile on her face.  She enjoys working with people, especially helping them pick out glasses.  We are happy to have her here until she goes on to college to further her education. Her hobbies include jogging and shopping.

Daisy lives with her son Christian in Alvarado.
